No, per Texas code, we do not repair swimming pool heat pumps and chillers. The manufacturer warranty will protect your investment with in-network contractors. Additionally, if out of the warranty window, a licensed HVAC technician is capable of repairing a swimming pool heat pump and chiller.

We can save you thousands of dollars on a new heat pump and chiller, plumb in your heat pump and chiller, we can educate you as to the electrical requirements, and we can run the correct AWG wire for your heat pump and chiller. However, we cannot wire your heat pump and chiller into power. A licensed HVAC technician will need to connect the wires into power according to Texas code. Additionally, the equipment site/pad will need to be prepared to support the electrical requirements of said heat pump and chiller, and by a licensed electrician.

Is a swimming pool heat pump the cheapest way to heat a swimming pool or spa?

Yes, a heat pump is the most cost effective way to heat a swimming pool and spa without really compromising the speed of heating. This is also in comparison to the immediate alternatives of an all electric heater (not ideal, slow, and a fading option in the industry), a natural gas heater (the fastest of all), and a propane heater (the most expensive option). Additionally, a heat pump is ideal when simply wanting to extend the swim season on the front and back ends by about a month or two.

A heat pump requires specific installation distances from local walls and other equipment because it pulls heat out of the immediate air and transfers it into the water.
